Nonprofit Development Coordinator

Our client, a faith-based organization in the heart of Houston, is seeking a Development Coordinator to join their team. This role will assist with fundraising efforts and stewarding church patrons in order to fulfill the framework of the organization’s values.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the Stewardship ministry and partner with clergy to educate the congregation on the importance of donations for current and future projects.
- Assist with planning, implementing and maintaining the organization’s stewardship campaign.
- Advise and coordinate the organization’s Stewardship Council and recruit new council members.
- Assist with maintenance of church's database ensuring accuracy and facilitating parishioners' commitment.
- Track the Asking Calendar, strategy for growth and appreciation of members.
- Provide parishioners with end-of-life planning and other ministries that deepen their relationship with the church and ministry.
- Plan, coordinate and manage Stewardship related events.
- Additional responsibilities as needed in effort to fundraise for the organization.

- Demonstrated experience as a relationship builder.
- Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills that generate content and ability to establish relationships with a wide range of members.
- Ability to work independently and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience working and collaborating on cross functional teams.
- Experienced in CRM database programs
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of two years’ experience in non-profit fundraising, preferably with a faith-based organization.
